Imperial say good bye to FIFA Star
Today, we are sad to announce that one of our FIFA Stars, Robert 'Sensation' Brewster has left the Imperial and has gone on to join rival UK Organisation, Team dignitas. Rob was one of the original members of Imperial Esports and after getting over his LAN phobia, has gone on to become one of the most prolific FIFA players on FIFA 09 and FIFA 10.

During his time in the Imperial, Rob has changed a lot and has matured into a respectable member of the FIFA community. Undoubtedly the highlight of Rob's time in the Imperial was winning the FIFA Interactive World Cup UK National Finals where he beat team mate, Adam 'AdamW' Winster in the final.

Rob had this to say upon leaving the Imperial:
I would like to thank Chris for all the help he has given me in the past whilst under the organisation The Imperial. I've shared many good times with him and wish all the guys at Imperial the best of luck in the future

Over the FIFA 10 season, team mate, United Kingdom AdamW has been Robert's closest rival, regularly competing against Adam in finals and exchanging victories.

Adam is now the sole Imperial FIFA player but with the overall most consistent LAN record on FIFA10, there's no better player to be flying the Imperial Esports banner. Adam will next be seen at the European Console League LAN event this weekend where he may have to face Rob in the latter stages of the tournament.

On behalf of Imperial Esports, I would like to wish Rob the best of luck in his new organisation.

Imperial Take On New Gears of War Console Team
The team formally known as vVv Focus are no strangers to LAN, finishing in top places at various events. Although they have undergone a few team changes since their vVv days, the team are stronger than ever by picking up Connor 'Chunky' Middleton and Thierry 'Gimbly' Ars, both of which are well known gears players.

We at Imperial wish them the best of luck!

Team captain Vincent 'DarkAngel' Pope spoke about the move:
I've been watching the Imperial grow for a while now and they have always interested me, this is a good opportunity given to me and my team and we will make the most of it.

This also means that we say goodbye to our former line up, Romance. Romance have represented the Imperial eSports organisation for almost a year, the highlight of which was a 2nd place finish at EGL in Manchester.

Imperial managing director Chris 'Mellow' Marsh had this to say about Romance departing:
In short, Romance needed a certain amount of cash for LAN which we couldn't provide for reasons I won't go into. Therefore, I told them to search for a new organisation and even helped them out by approaching other organisations on their behalf.

It seemed like a done deal so with that in mind, we basically considered Romance to be a former team, unfortunately. So we moved to replace them with a team that have been around and competed at the top for a good while now. However, the move with Romance fell through which left us in a tough position.

In the end, Detonati decided that they would leave the Imperial for this event. Disappointing for us obviously as we have supported Romance for a long while now and vice-versa. So I want to say thanks to Romance and welcome to the new team.

Team Captain, Wales Ross 'Detonati' Owen, now of Romance also commented with the following:
We've been very proud to be part of the setup at Imperial for the last year but due to recent events we feel its time to part ways with them. We want to thank everyone at Imperial for there help especially United Kingdom Mellow who couldnt have done enough for us. I certainly hope its not the last time you see Romance representing Imperial on the Gears of War franchise.

Imperial Takes On New Call of Duty 4 Console Team
Following on from tonight's events, I would like to welcome a new Call of Duty console team to Imperial eSports. The team formally known as Validus are no strangers to LAN, finishing 3rd place at EGL and representing Power Gaming in the GameStop grand finals. Although they have undergone a few team changes since back then, the team are extremely stable and have been a fixture of the CoD 4 scene for a long while now.

The team will be looking to have a repeat of their EGL success at ECL next weekend.

Shane 'Uni7ed' Grindey had this to say about joining:
I'd like to say a massive thanks to Chris and Kerry for giving us the chance to represent Imperial eSports. When we first saw that they were looking to get back into the console scene, me and the rest of the team thought it would be great to be a part of their future plans. We're really looking forward to putting in a good performance at the upcoming ECL Liverpool where we realistically believe we can achieve a top 3 finish. GL to the rest of the teams.

I would like to welcome Validus to the Imperial and we wish you the best of luck at ECL on the weekend!

Imperial Introduce a Content Writer and Charity Partnership
Following on from our last announcement, today I would like to announce further changes to the Imperial set up.

First up, I would like to welcome someone who I'm hoping will become very valuable to our organisation. Stephen 'Recap' Fairhurst will be joining the organisation from Team Theory and will be covering team news, scene news and writing articles.

Over the coming weeks and months, you should expect a lot, lot more content from the Imperial eSports team including articles from Recap, oLi, KerrBearr, players and of course myself. The regularity of these articles will vary so keep checking back for brand new, quality content from the Imperial Esports team.

Our next announcement comes in the shape of our impending work with GamesAid. In the not so distant future we will be running various charity tournaments where the proceeds will go to GamesAid.

KerrBearr has subsequently written an article on what she hopes to bring to the Imperial eSports organisation for the fans of our console division:

KerrBearr wrote:

First of all I would like to thank United Kingdom United Kingdom Mellow for bringing me on board and giving me the opportunity to embark on an amazing experience and for me to help the organisation finally get that last push to be one of the biggest eSport Organisations in Europe.

Imperial Announce New Console Manager
After a period of moderate inactivity Imperial Esports will be bringing a number of big announcements this week which will begin to shape our business plan for the next year. The first announcement I would like to make is a new console manager.

The person I would like to announce is someone who has been around the console scene for a couple of years now and has had mixed reception throughout. However, after working with her on Decerto I saw clear potential that I hope to utilise in pushing Imperial Esports forward. So with that in mind I would like to announce Kerry 'KerrBearr xo' Bennett as our new console manager.

While KerrBearr is relatively new to gaming management, I believe that her enthusiasm and drive will bring good things to the Imperial Esports and with the right guidance, she will prove to be a very value member of the staff team.

On behalf of the whole of Imperial Esports I would like to welcome Kerrbearr to the organisation. Please visit Imperial-eSports.net regular this week for more exciting announcements and news on how YOU can get involved.
